Few years ago, Nokia was the number one seller worldwide of mobile phones, it was also a leader in the dawn of smartphones. This is no longer the case, as Nokia’s sales are shrinking every quarter. We know that, there is so much competition, as iPhone 4S, upcoming iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the Motorola Droid Razr and so many more. In fact, Nokia phone unit shipments went from 5 million to about half that and its market share went from 55% to 11%. Its rank in the market went from first to fifth.

Well, Today, new technology prototypes Nokia was showing at its Nokia World 2011 conference were pretty freaking mind blowing.

Nokia Windows Phone 7 Sea Ray Prototype Leaks Online (Video)

Nokia is suffering dramatic falls in market share worldwide, and RIM has seen a calamitous fall in its US sales – while the Android mobile operating system is streaking past rivals in almost every developed country to become the dominant player everywhere. As we know, Nokia is up with Microsoft to produce the Windows Phone 7 handsets with Nokia’s hardware in few months and the 1st Nokia WP7 device is expected to be released by the end of this year.

Nokia Ovi Maps Now Come To Android (Video)

Nokia  just launched their famed Ovi Maps which is HTML5 powered website for Android. Although Nokia hasn’t officially confirmed this offering yet, it seems to be a full-on competitor for Google Maps. With Nokia Maps for android, you can view locations, plan routes for driving and walking, enjoy pinch to zoom support and more.

First Nokia Windows 7 Phone Will Be Available Late 2011

Nokia’s going to have to get a move on and the company says it will be late 2011 or even early 2012 to get the first Nokia Windows Phone 7 handset. The new devices are expected use the Nokia W7 and W8 design and  run Microsoft’s Mango 7.5 operating system, which features multitasking and supports HTML 5.

Nokia Corporation is a Finland multinational communications corporation that engaged in the manufacturing of mobile devices and in converging Internet and communications industries global annual revenue of over €42 billion and operating profit of €2 billion as of 2010.

From the cnet reported yesterday, now Apple jumps ahead of Nokia in phone revenue which Apple generated $11.9bn of wholesale revenues from its iPhone in the first quarter. Apple now tops other handset makers in terms of revenue, according to new estimates and has supplanted Nokia as the world’s largest seller of mobile handsets by revenue for the first time ever. However, Nokia’s chief executive has declared Android smartphones to be Nokia main competitive target and not is Apple, in spite of data showing that Apple has overtaken Nokia to become the world’s biggest mobile phone maker by sales for the first time. He explain that the main focus was on the broader range of rivals, such as Samsung, HTC and Motorola, which use Google’s Android operating system.

So, what will the Nokia’s version of WP7 user interface and function design look like? Here is some new concept interface for Nokia handsets running Windows Phone 7. The OS interface looks exactly like windows phones 7 recent home screen that enables an access of additional functions and content for applications straight from the home screen. The different is Nokia’s version of WP7 now support live cube which interacted by rotating it in its equatorial axis.

Android Info: Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Concept SmartPhone – Will Competitive To Google Android?

The mobile phones did get evolved in a huge way during the last few years. One of the latest systems got introduced to the modern world has to be the  Google Android and Apple iOS. These two Mobile OS have made handling mobile device a much more exciting experience in more ways than one.

From recent several surveys and statics which have proved that the Android has managed to gain upper hand in a huge way. The operating system of Android has excellent high end flexible, that power with Google Maps, Youtube, Google Voice search function, Gmail and more.

Microsoft shows off the potential for smartphones in the future within the context of computing in general. So, that’s some of the key features Microsoft is highlighting, and likely attempting to implement in Windows Phone in the long-term. Neat stuff all around, even if it is just make-believe.
