Speed Up Android Market With Set DNS (Free)

Why is the new Android Market App so ridiculously slow?Usually takes more than 10 seconds to fully load. Then  I can’t navigate it, I can’t download anything, it’s just always displaying the “Loading” spinner. How?

I think that  a lot of Android user may noticed that the “new” version of the Android Market can take a long time to load when you’re connected to a Wi-Fi network. XDA member, found that this loading issues is cause by the DNS resolution issue.

According to termasek,

I’m presently using Market 3.1.5 and using wifi it is really really slow. The issue lies with the DNS resolution time. The new market uses url like v11.lscache3.c.android.clients.google.com. The delay to resolve this url over wifi takes usually over 10 seconds. ( +/-). Apparently the new market over mobile network isn’t affected by this.”

Luckily, Set DNS app, able to provide pretty easy way to change the DNS servers on your Android-powered smartphone or tablet. This application will override the nameserver information on your phone for both wireless and 3G connections. Overall, SetDNS is the easiest way to force your rooted phone to use custom nameservers on WiFi AND 3G/mobile networks. You can try it and share the results with us if  Set DNS able to improve your market speeds.
