Android OS Port to Nokia N900
Nokia N900 is one of the Nokia best and high-end mobile phones on the market. Nokia N900 is a mobile computer integrate with 3.5 inch touch-sensitive wide screen display, ARM Cortex-A8 600 MHz and running on Maemo 5 operating system. Besides this, Nokia N900 was the last mobile communication device running the Maemo 5 operating system, which will be replaced by MeeGo. As we know, MeeGo is a Linux based open source mobile operating system which is develop by Nokia and Intel. Yes, Nokia are not planning to utilize android and only will use Meego for their all coming mobile phones . This is good or bad news for you?
Well, Android now already port to windows mobile phone and iPhone 3GS! So, how about Nokia? It is ok, if you are interest with nokia phones and android OS, you can join to NITDroid project. NITDroid is a work in progress project being worked on by 3 main devs with some other helper for create a stable and working port of the Android OS for the Nokia Internet Tablets (N8×0 and N900).
