Ahead of CES Samsung has been busy pimping all sorts of technologies, but it seems like the company is very serious about transparent LCD as transparent LCD could revolutionize display and mobile devices in the future.
Today, Samsung has released some photos of their new transparent LCD panel, the Samsung LTI460AP01, which is a 46 inch inch transparent LCD display, and according to Samsung it will use just 10 percent of the power that a standard LCD uses. it certainly looks interesting from the photos and I think we will see more of this device at CES 2012 next month.

According to Samsung Tomorrow, the Samsung transparent display is its energy efficiency. When the transparent BLU is not activated, the transparent LCD uses only 10% of the electricity used by a regular LCD screen of equivalent size. Cool and eco-friendly.
Other than transparent display technology for TV , Samsung now is exploring the possibilities for the transparent panels for use in Android Tablets. From previous post, Samsung’s flexible concept tablet video shows 3D graphics, allows instant translation, augmented reality interaction and even projects 3D holograms on its surface. This incredible device is transparent, very thin and it’s foldable, so it can fit in the tiniest purses and bags. It is an amazing breakthrough, since a next smartphone era will operate this flexible AMOLED screen with 3D technology. The flexibility and ability to bend simply come from the fact that the display portion of the product is extremely thin.
