How to Install Android 4.0 XXKP1 Firmware On Samsung Galaxy S2
Thanks to a leaked build you should be able to get your hands on an early Android 4.0 build for your phone. A video has been leaked which shows what appears to be an early version of the official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Galaxy S2. This official but leaked firmware, I9100XXKP1 still in testing progress and a lot of function still cant work properly. Besides this this firmware also will cause your Galaxy S2 random reboot.
But if you want to try with this new Android 4.0.1 I9100XXKP1 Rom for you Galaxy S2, then we highly advise you to make a backup of your rooted stock ROM just in case something goes wrong. By backing up your rooted ROM, you will have an insurance in case something goes wrong in the future such as bricking your phone while installing a new kernel or ROM. Besides this, you also need to backup all setting and other important data
Step 1: Download odinV3 1.85 and Galaxy S2 Android 4.0 XXKP1 firmware (Link).
Step 2: Extract the Galaxy S2 Android 4.0 XXKP1 firmware (Password: samfirmware.com) to your pc and you will get these files

Step 3: Turn Off your PC Galaxy S2 and then put your Galaxy S2 into download Mode by press and hold these keys together: Volume_down+Home+Power.

Step 4: Launch Odin on your PC and then connect your Galaxy S2 to PC.
Step 5: Select these files in Odin for the tabs:
Click the BOOTLOADER tab, select
I9100_APBOOT_I9100XXKP1_CL16459_REV02_eng_mid_ship.tar.md5
Click the the PDA tab,select
I9100_CODE_I9100XXKP1_CL16459_REV02_eng_mid_ship.tar.md5
Click the PHONE tab, select
MODEM_I9100XXKP1_REV_02_CL1085642.tar.md5 .

Step 5: Now, press START button to start installing the XXKP1 on your Galaxy s2
Step 6: When process at Odin finishes your phone will reboot into recovery mod then you reboot (reboot system) Galaxy S2. That’s all, enjoys!


Please note that this is a kind of custom ROM in testing stage. Please try at your own risk and we are not recommend to install this ROM on your phone.

Basics functions like calling , sms , internet and more.
Some applications haven’t been worked out correct so they will force close on stress.
