Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (Custom ROM ) Ported To Samsung Galaxy S

Android 4.0 Galaxy S

Android 4 OS or called as Android Ice Cream Sandwich is the most anticipated and most ambitious update from Google with a motive in mind: to unify all Android OS versions on different Android devices. Android 4.0 builds on the things people love most about Android, as easy multitasking, rich notifications, customizable home screens, resizable widgets, and deep interactivity.

Now, it appears that the folks at XDA Developers Forum have gotten a radically early port of the newest version of Android 4.0,  Ice Cream Sandwich, working on the Samsung Galaxy S.

Galnet, a member of the XDA Developers forums, has posted the link to download Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich custom ROM for your Samsung Galaxy S. According to Galnet, this releases version only give a proof of concept version, and is not for daily usage nor for people unknown to flashing etc. More than anything, it just gives Galaxy S owners a look at what’s in store.

For those of you adventurous enough to try this, keep in mind that rooting your device will void your warranty and, though highly unlikely if you follow directions carefully, could brick your device. To take a look at all the instructions and to download the port, head on over to XDA now.
