Pantech To Release Microsoft’s Kinect Like Gesture-Controlled Android Phones Soon (Video)

Initially released in November of 2010, the Kinect replaces the traditional Xbox controller with the movements of your actual hands, using a camera that translates motion into controlling the videogame you’re playing. Microsoft Kinect , Natural and intuitive technologies  proved to be more than just a great platform for gaming and entertainment.. The device’s motion controller opens doors to application across all sorts of fields, from major advances in robotics to medical research.

Apple Acquires C3 Technologies For Advances Realistic-Looking 3D Maps, To Compete Google Maps? (Video)

You are familiar with your current mapping services when it comes to Google Maps, Bing Maps or Google Earth, But a new technology will let you get beyond that and the Swedish company behind it thinks you actually deserve more and… seriously. Using missile technology developed by the Swedish military, C3 Technologies’ mapping service is able to create 3D maps with a stunning level of detail  to provide users with incredibly realistic maps which include pixel-depth mapping allowing you to know exactly how high in the air any area of the map happens to be.

Now, Apple Inc has reportedly bought a 3D mapping company named C3 that has the technology to make killer 3D map.

Google TV is a software platform aiming to bring together traditional TV and video content from the web. The internet is quickly becoming a major channel of multimedia content delivery however a large portion of content is still TV exclusive.

It’s finally here! Today, Google announces software update for Google TV  to brings millions of new channels to your TV from the next generation of creators, application developers, and networks. The latest version of Google TV is built on a new operating system: Android’s Honeycomb. And it has new tools for finding and recommending movies, TV shows and online videos, and makes it easier for software developers to create new apps for the television screen. There is also better search for TV, Netflix, YouTube and other apps, a new YouTube application and an on-ramp for the Android Market. For now, that means only access to hundreds of the Market’s 300,000-plus apps.

As we all know, Apple is the biggest name around when it comes to technology – especially when it comes to mobile phones and tablets.  The iPhone and the iPad have both revolutionised handheld devices and for a long time it hasn’t looked like anybody would be able to hang on to the coattails of Steve Jobs and co.

But wait just one moment. Samsung has just set the bar for 2011 very high with the Galaxy S2, and has made Apple’s job at least a little more difficult.

Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Not Coming To LG Optimus 2x

The LG Optimus 2X  is presented as the first and fastest dual-core smartphone on the market. Code-named the LG Star, the “2x” is for twice the power and twice the speed.  The phone’s dual-core Tegra 2 processor, a first in the smartphone world. With great power comes great multimedia promise, as the phone boasts a stunning 4-inch WVGA screen, 8GB of internal memory (up to 32GB with microSD), HDMI mirroring, DLNA support, an accelerometer, a gyro sensor, and 1080p MPEG-4/H.264 playback and recording.

Although LG Optimus 2X  has to be one of high-level of  Android smartphones, , but a statement from the Korean electronics giant begs to differ.

Samsung To Launch Android Flexible Displays Smartphones In 2012

Flexible displays are attractive for several reasons:  lighter than glass displays, making it possible to build larger consumer devices, such ase-readers or tablet  that aren’t too heavy. Flexible displays can also be used in some novel applications, such as interactive newspapers that can be bent or rolled and be as portable as the paper-based versions.

Samsung have been trying to come up with a way to make flexible displays as it can be bent, rolled and folded like a sheet of paper.

The Transformer Prime will have a quad-core Nvidia Kal-El processor and a fresh new design. Today Smartphone’s we are using where just concept phone few years back but they came into reality. Back in 2007, when Apple released the first iPhone, anyone could have told you it had the potential change the mobile business as we knew it. The intuitive, visual and app-centric platform was in stark contrast to the text-based, bland and bulky smart-phone systems from Nokia and Microsoft.
