Panasonic is introducing a new Android phone, based on their highly successful Lumix cameras. The Panasonic Android device is designed to be a mix between a phone and a digital camera. For your info, Lumix is Panasonic’s brand of digital cameras, ranging from pocket point-and-shoot models to digital SLRs. Sure, image sensors in Lumix cameras are pretty great.

Real Steel was released to the Android Market by Indian developers, Jump Games as a tie-in to the boxing movie of the same name.

Real Steel is an underworld fighting game set in the near-future, where 2,000 pound robots fight in a no-holds barred battle to the death. Featuring two play modes, you can either fight a roster of Robots (Tournament Mode), each more challenging than the last, or fight in a quick sparring match against your favorite opponents (Free Sparring Mode). Today, HTC has launched its lowest priced smartphone , the HTC Explorer. HTC Explorer was design aims to satisfy your smartphone needs with less than stellar specifications and a very affordable price.

The biggest Android device makers, Samsung will pay Microsoft a royalty for every handset it ships running Google’s operating system!

Microsoft announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement with Samsung, to cross-license the patent portfolios of both companies, providing broad coverage for each company’s products. Under the terms of the agreement, Samsung will pay Microsoft money for every device they sell that runs Google’s Android operating system (Android and Linux in general infringe on Microsoft patents). In addition, the companies agreed to cooperate in the development and marketing of Windows Phone.

LG today announced its new addition to the Optimus  family, the Optimus EX. The LG Optimus EX powered by the latest Android 2.3 Gingerbread with  Nvidia Tegra 2 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and sport  with a 4-inch WVGA (480 x 800 pixels) NOVA technology display. Google currently owns and operates data centres in the US and Europe, and now they plans to build the new centres in Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Google said it will build three data centres in Asia at a cost of more than $200 million, as the number of Internet users in the region soars along with stiff competition from rivals.

“The number of users and the amount of Internet use in Asia is growing faster than anywhere else in the world. The centres usually house computer and telecom systems with high security and backup power supplies and will improve the firm’s service to customers in the region.” Taj Meadows, Google’s Asia-Pacific policy communications manager said.

T-Mobile has just officially announced the new HTC Amaze 4G. The HTC Amaze 4G will support the new, faster HSPA+ 42 network on T-Mobile for enhanced data speeds, and will also come with full NFC capabilities. According to T-Mobile, Amaze 4G will go on sale starting October 12 with online presales starting two days earlier for $259.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year contract. The handset comes in two colors–black and white. Both will be available at the same time.
