Skype, which is being bought by Microsoft for $8.5 billion, introduced a new service for Android user. Updated Skype for Android 2.0 will allow free video calls between Android users and users of Skype on any other devices, including the Iphone, Mac, PC or a smart TV, not including any potential charges for using 3G or 4G service, of course. However, not all Android phones will support video calling initially and currently  only support HTC Desire S, Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo and Xperia Pro, and Google’s Nexus S.

Overall, the new features on Skype for Android 2.0,includes,
- New user experience.
- Two way video calling for selected handsets: Google Nexus S, HTC Desire S, Sony Ericsson Xperia neo, Sony Ericsson Xperia pro.
- Support for SMS.
